Darkness closes nothing to those who know how to listen.
Vesper Lab audits websites and digital documents,
finds what gets in the way, and explains how to fix it. WCAG 2.2 and
SGQRI 008 standards. Montréal, in French and English.
What I explore
-
Accessibility diagnostic · Audit a website or app
from the standpoint of what the people using it actually experience.
Rank issues by impact, not by order of appearance.
A report the whole team can read, not just the
people who write the code.
-
Accessible documents · Review and tag Word files,
slide decks, and PDFs so they stay usable once downloaded.
The least visible part of accessibility, and one
of the most overlooked.
-
WCAG conformance · The reference criteria, one by
one: what each changes in practice, and how to document it without
jargon.
What I learn while preparing my CPACC
certification gets published on the blog as it happens.
The Lab
Bilingual tools I build for my own work, published in the open,
accessible, and reusable.
-
Vesper Toolkit
A set of bookmarklets you drag into your bookmarks bar: an axe-core
scan, link/image/form-label checks, a CSS selector, and new
additions as they come.
-
Vesper Library
A library of accessible interface components, tested with a screen
reader, with the code and an explanation of what makes each one
usable.
-
Vesper Compass and Sonar
All 87 criteria translated and documented, freely available. The
base every Lab tool builds on, growing with each audit.

Who I am
Five years as a paramedic, I studied sociology and the biases of the
medical field from the break room, then moved into web design and
development. Every hat I've worn traces back to the same thread: who
goes unseen, how they got erased, and how to switch the light back on.
Vesper Lab grew out of those blind spots, and the wish to see clearly.
I work from Montréal, in French and English.
